🧠 Mental acts are essentially just the act of thinking.
However, sometimes this thinking can become a type of compulsion, such as rumination or mental reviewing.
This is when we focus excessively on a past experience or interaction, analyzing it to the point where it becomes counterproductive.
People with OCD often engage in these mental acts as a way to relieve anxiety or distress.
It's important to note that while obsessions often come with a corresponding behavior, a compulsion doesn't always have to be a physical action - it can also be a mental act. 🧠
