First in Family to College: My Journey from Grocer's Daughter to PhD

I remember the day I stepped into my first psychology class. 🎓

The anticipation, the curiosity, the fear of the unknown.

I was the first in my family to attend college, a grocer's daughter with dreams bigger than the aisles of my father's store. 🍚

Navigating the world of academia was a challenge, but the passion I discovered for psychology made every struggle worth it.

I saw the impact of divorce on my family, the emotional devastation it caused. 🏮

I wanted to help others navigate their feelings, to provide a beacon of hope in their darkest times.

Now, I know it's not possible to shield everyone from pain, but I can certainly try to make the journey a little less lonely.

Remember, it's okay to feel your feelings. It's okay to seek help. And it's okay to dream big, no matter where you come from.
