I remember the day vividly. 🏫
A hush had fallen over our predominantly Asian-American high school.
A popular student, a friend, had taken his own life.
And we, his friends and classmates, were left grappling with the harsh reality that our school, our community, was woefully unprepared to deal with mental health issues.
Fast forward to today, and I'm grateful to see that our school now has a wellness program.
But the memory of that day, and the realization of how much we failed our friend, has stayed with me.
It's why I'm so passionate about breaking the silence around mental health in Asian and minority communities.
Because no one should have to suffer in silence. 🙏
Mental health matters.
And so do you. 💖
