White Grievance Isn't New

In the realm of loss and grief, the scales have never been balanced.

The burden of loss has always been disproportionately shouldered by the black community in the United States.

This isn't a new revelation, but a persistent, painful truth.

In the 1960s, Martin Luther King Jr. observed the white backlash that emerged in the wake of the civil rights laws.

He foresaw the hardening of white resistance, predicting that it would only intensify as the fight for equality moved from initial victories to the deeper transformations necessary for true equality. 🏮

This isn't just history; it's a continuing narrative that we need to acknowledge and address.
